Inspiration &

User-Research

Based on the assigned action, I created an object

(not a product) that intuitively suggests that a user

should perform said action. We started the project

by researching existing products that highlighted an

intuitive design interface and posted them for

discussion. These were used as inspiration for my

iterative process. I used sketching and prototyping

to refine my object in preparation for the prototype

demonstration, where we evaluated how well the

design reflected the action.

When considering the intuitive nature of a product,

we often generalize and suggest the form or the

shape of the object is the pathway of illustrating

its intended use. However, any additional attributes

can contribute to a well-executed design, including:

color, size/scale, weight, materials, texture,

graphics/iconography, and ergonomics.
